샤키라는 상당히 나이 많이 먹은 가수처럼 생각하는 사람도 있지만 1977년생으로 한국나이로 아직 40이 되지 않았다.

157cm이라는 단신에도 불구하고 정열적인 춤과 노래로 인기를 한몸에 받고 있다.

 

샤키라는 콜롬비아의 가수로 싱어송 라이터로 다양한 직업을 소화했다. 1990년대부터 콜롬비아 및 라틴 아메리카에 자신의 이름을 알리다가 한국에 본격적으로 알린 것은 3번째 앨범에 있는 Whenever, Whererver을 통해서이다.
